At St Peter’s Church in Ruddington, our Christmas gatherings offer space to pause, reflect, and celebrate together in a warm, welcoming setting.

Advent and Christmas 2026

Christmas is at the heart of the Christian story - a time of preparation, hope and joyful celebration. At St Peter’s, we mark the journey of advent with events and services that are welcoming, inviting and open to all.

Whether Advent and Christmas are a long-held tradition for you or something you are exploring for the first time, you are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate the joy of the season.

  • Sunday 29th November 10.30am

    Join us for the lighting of this year’s very first Advent Candle, yay!!

  • Come and join in the family fun at the Christmas Fair! Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cake, craft and produce stalls and live music from our fabulous band!

    Saturday 5th December 10am-4pm

  • Join us on Monday 7th December at 7pm

  • Sunday 6th December 10.30am.

    Join us for the lighting of the second Advent candle. Hurray!

  • Sunday 13th December 10.30am

    Join us for the lighting of the third Advent Candle, yay!

  • Sunday 20th December 10.30am.

    Join us for the lighting of the fourth and final Advent Candle, we can’t wait!!

  • Sunday 20th December at 7pm.

    Bring your best voices and join us for an evening of singing in this year’s Christmas Carol Service. Fa la la la laaaa la la laaa laaaaaa!!

  • Join us for any one of THREE Christingle services on Christmas Eve, Thursday 24th December at 2pm, 4pm or 6pm.

    There will be candles and oranges, and this year we are going super eco friendly and composting all the oranges and recycling all the candles, yay!

  • Join us at 11pm on Christmas Eve which finishes just in time to welcome in Christmas Day at the end of the service. It’s a very special time!

  • Join us at the earlier time of 10am for our usual short Christmas Day service (there’s chocolate!!).
