A message from Andrew:
Dear Friends,
If you would like to be baptised on Sunday 20th July it's not too late to speak to me and book your place! Just grab me at the end of this week's service. It's going to be amazing!
God bless,
Andrew
Prayer for the week: Please pray for those preparing for Baptism.
Requests for prayer: Did you know that St Peter's has a dedicated prayer team who are delighted to pray for you through the week. If you have a request for prayer, let Dorothy Houghton or Pat Milazzo know, or contact Andrew (0115 921 4522 / rev_buchanan@hotmail.com). Remember as well that we have a team who will pray with you after the Sunday service too.
Latest from the Foodbank: Thank you so much to everyone who responded to the request for specific donations. All items have now been delivered and they were really surprised by the amount and as always so grateful for the St Peter's Church contributions. They really can find a home for all sorts of items (e.g. simple paper gift bags, unused, unwanted toiletries). Just put it in the trolley and we'll get it there! So well done for being so generous and keep up the good work!
Singing workshops for children: St Mary's in the Lace Market is holding two singing workshops for all interested children aged 6-11: ‘Sing Joyfully!’ (a workshop for girls) will be held on Monday 14th July at St Marys and ‘Boys Make Noise!’ (a workshop for boys) is on Tuesday 15th July at St Peter’s (the church in town, not us!). Both workshops are free and will give children the opportunity to learn a variety of sacred and secular music, to sing with the St Mary’s choirs and to perform a concert to their parents. For more information, click the relevant link: Sing Joyfully (girls) or Boys Make Noise (boys).
Children's Activities: There are organised children’s activities provided by St Peter’s and Ruddington Baptist Churches most Sundays (term time only) from 11:00 - 11:45am in St Peter’s Rooms where the Baptist Church meet. Generally the age group catered for is KS1, KS2 and KS3. Younger children would need a parent with them. We also have a creche for our youngest children.
Your News Snippets Still Wanted: For example, any challenges that have been overcome or what Christian resources you have found helpful. Or indeed, any other faith or church-related news. So, if you have something you would like to share, it doesn’t have to be “special”, send your contribution to Nikki Roe at ruddoffice@gmail.com – suggested length about 250 words maximum.
